1. About Stake Your Take

Stake Your Take is a free, play-for-fun sports prediction game for private groups.

Players use virtual tokens to make head-to-head takes on real sporting events and compete within their groups.

Stake Your Take is not a sportsbook and does not accept or facilitate real-money wagers. Virtual tokens:

• Have no cash value
• Cannot be purchased
• Cannot be sold or transferred for value
• Cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for money, prizes, goods, or services

You may not use Stake Your Take to organize, collect, transfer, track, or settle real-money wagers.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity conducted through it. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate another person.

Within a group, you may select a handle that other group members can see. Handles may not be unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringe another person's rights.

3. Groups, Takes, and Tokens

Each group is a separate competition with its own members, virtual-token balances, takes, and standings.

Tokens may be locked when a take is created or accepted. Stakes are settled based on the applicable game result.

Sports data can occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. We may delay, correct, void, reverse, or otherwise adjust a take or token balance when reasonably necessary to address:

• Incorrect or conflicting sports data
• A canceled, postponed, incomplete, or unusual event
• A technical error
• Abuse or manipulation of the service

Because tokens have no monetary value, no token balance or settlement creates a right to payment or compensation.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Cheat, collude, or manipulate a competition
• Use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage
• Exploit bugs or unintended behavior
• Access another person's account
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools without permission
• Interfere with the security or operation of the service
• Harass or defraud another person
• Use Stake Your Take for unlawful gambling or any unlawful purpose

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the integrity or security of the service.

5. Account Deletion

You may delete your account through the available account settings.

Some historical records may be retained or de-identified when necessary to settle existing takes, maintain accurate group standings and token records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Ownership

Stake Your Take and its original software, design, branding, and content belong to us or our licensors.

Sports leagues, teams, names, logos, and related materials belong to their respective owners. Stake Your Take is not affiliated with or endorsed by any sports league or team unless expressly stated.

7. Availability and Disclaimers

Stake Your Take is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that third-party sports information will always be complete or accurate.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Stake Your Take.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months, whichever is greater.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The date at the top will show when they were last revised.

Your continued use of Stake Your Take after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
